Building on last year’s highly successful event, The National Construction Summit 2016 will be, once again, the largest and most informative industry gathering of the year. The theme of this Summit is ‘Sustaining the Momentum’.

Construction Information Services (CIS) are a proud sponsor of the National Construction Summit and look forward to welcoming delegates, exhibitors and speakers along to what is sure to be an even more successful year than its inception in 2015.

Attendees will receive complimentary construction activity reports upon registration and have the opportunity to listen to expert industry speakers who will clearly demonstrate not only that the momentum of construction activity is gathering pace, but that it is also starting to extend to parts of the country outside of Leinster and Dublin. The latest predictions for the Construction Sector show an overall growth of 21% in 2016, which steps off the back of a 14% growth in 2015.

The National Construction Summit will be chaired by Tom Parlon, Director General of the Construction Industry Federation (CIF).

At the official 2016 Construction Summit announcement, Tom Parlon, Director General of the CIF said, “This event will provide a very good focus point to show off the scale and ambition of the industry”.

Tom Moloney, Managing Director of Construction Information Services (CIS) said, “This year’s summit will create the opportunity for all those interested in the construction sector to meet, listen and hear about how the industry is actually performing and how the challenges facing it are being addressed.”

Over 3,000 delegates have already registered to attend the National Construction Summit. This year will see a strong line up of main stage speakers, seven workshops, an exhibition area of over 200 stands and a Meet the Buyer area. The seven workshops will offer visitors the opportunity to listen to specific and informative content relating to all aspects of the industry and also to observe demonstrations of new products and enhanced construction practices.

The themes of the workshops are as follows:

  • Facilities Management, Property Management, Real Estate
  • Planning, Architecture, Interior Design
  • Building Materials and Technology, Infrastructure
  • Sustainability
  • HR and Jobs
  • Smart Cities, Smart Buildings
  • Marketing Intelligence, Finance/Investment, Policy and Regulations

The line up of speakers is drawn from key stakeholders in the construction sector. Their expertise will help stimulate debate and inform companies on how to continue the positive momentum of Ireland’s construction industry in a sustainable manner. These speakers will be announced soon via the National Construction Summit and Construction Information Services’ social and media channels.

CIS would strongly encourage any professional, contractor, sub-contractor or supplier to the construction industry to come along and experience what is guaranteed to be an insightful day of learning and connection opportunities.
