Bank of Ireland has strategically appointed Niamh De Niese as the Chief Digital and Architecture Officer, marking a significant move to enhance its digital capabilities. In this newly established role, De Niese, formerly the Chief Digital Officer at Santander UK, brings more than 25 years of experience in banking, payments, and technology. Her responsibilities include driving the transformation of the Group’s systems and IT architecture, with a primary focus on improving customer experiences and streamlining internal processes.

De Niese’s role goes beyond immediate concerns of digital infrastructure, as she is tasked with exploring emerging technologies and assessing their potential impact on the Group’s future investments.
