The Colortrend Prime range of primers is the next generation of primer technology, specifically developed to utilise cutting-edge coating innovations. Colortrend’s team of dedicated and skilled chemists formulated four easy-to-use primers to answer all your priming needs: from handling problem stains to preparing problematic surfaces for painting, inside and out! The new primers are:
Prime 1 ACRYLIC is a multi-purpose water-based primer. It is great on MDF, PVC, fascia and soffits as well as glass and ceramic tiles. It is an excellent primer for exterior woods, especially hardwoods with outstanding knot and tannin blocking properties along with handling difficult stains such as water, smoke and nicotine.
Prime 2 EPOXY is an easy to use problem solver with all the qualities of a traditional shellac primer with none of the hassle! It’s waterbased so is safe to use and virtually odourless too! As well as handling problem stains and odours such as fire and water damage. It’s great for priming kitchen cabinets or preparing furniture for repainting.
Prime 3 OIL is a multi-purpose, multi-use oil-based undercoat with excellent coverage and hiding properties. It’s perfect for front doors as it’s easy to apply, even over varnish and woodstain and its outstanding enamel holdout makes your gloss topcoats look great!
Prime 4 PSU is a primer, sealer undercoat that gives the best adhesion for your topcoat. It is excellent on plasterboard, brick and concrete and offers superior protection against blistering, flaking or peeling. Prime 4 PSU is the best possible start on bare surfaces fro long-lasting, great looking paint jobs.
