Clonmel Enterprise Ltd. Helms Leopardstown Link Road and Roundabout Reconfiguration Project
Clonmel Enterprises Ltd. will begin a new project, removing the existing Leopardstown Roundabout, Dublin 18, and replacing it with a signalised junction, which will help the traffic flow in the area. The works started in November 2014, with the construction of a new link road to present new access to the South County Business Park making commuting to work much faster and easier for the many employees of the Park. The new access road will also grow capacity and allow for future expansion of the Park.
Once construction of the new link road was complete in April 2016, the existing access onto the roundabout from the Business Park was closed and the removal of the roundabout commenced. The existing roundabout was removed in phases and the new signalised junction constructed. In order to facilitate this project, complex temporary traffic management was required to ensure the traffic moved freely through the works and that access to the Leopardstown Racecourse and South County Business Park were maintained at all times.
Another aim of this project was to increase the safety of pedestrian and cyclist facilities in the area. This was achieved by constructing new footpaths and off road cycle tracks on all approaches to the new junction and along the new link road.
Clonmel Enterprise Ltd. was founded in 1979, constructing quality building and civil engineering projects for both the public and private sectors. The company is a multidisciplinary business with experience in a large variety of building and civil engineering works.
