An Irish-American hotelier, Connie O Reilly (pictured), has invested €1.5 million over the last 12 months in Cavan’s four-star Crover House Hotel. Having already increased its staff from 80 to 120 in 2017, the hotel has invested €1.5 million in its renovation programme. A complete refurbishment of the ballroom was undertaken, updating and extending their wedding facility by adding a 1,600 square foot bespoke conservatory, designed and manufactured by award winning Hampton Conservatories.

Work carried out in early 2018 saw the hotel’s kitchen double in size to cater for the increasing number of weddings hosted at the venue which have risen by 50 per cent over the last two years.

Crover House Hotel is owned by locally born and now American based hotelier and restauranteur, Connie O’ Reilly. He realised a long-held dream when he purchased the property in 1992 and considers the hotel ‘a jewel in the crown’ of his portfolio which comprises seven bars and restaurants across the US.

“Ireland is a great place to do business and we have ambitious plans for Crover House Hotel for the future. We have invested significantly in the hotel over the past 12 months to make Crover House Hotel an outstanding destination resort. Cavan holds a special place in my heart and I am delighted to contribute to the growing tourism offering and commerce in the area,” said Connie O’Reilly.

The O’ Reilly family have consistently invested into the hotel, which attracts visitors nationally and internationally to Cavan. Further substantial expansion plans are underway to add an extra wing to the property in 2019, which will increase the number of hotel rooms from 44 to over 65 along with a dedicated civil ceremony function room and reception area.
