Ireland’s premier producer of high performance, low carbon cement Ecocem Ireland has announced its new product development for the bagged cement market in Ireland and the UK. The upgraded offering sees the traditional paper bag being replaced by a stronger, more durable weather resistant hybrid bag.

Micheál McKittrick, Managing Director of Ecocem Ireland, comments: “The purpose of the product enhancement is to provide our customers with a bag that maintains excellence in product quality across the many working environments our customers operate in, whether that is on the farm, on the building site or at the home.”

Specified by engineers and architects throughout Ireland and the UK, Ecocem bagged cement is a technically advanced product which has a significantly lower carbon footprint (approximately 45% lower) than standard bagged cements on the market. Its workability, brighter finish and competitive price makes it a product of choice for plasterers, brick layers and general concrete users alike.

He adds: “Ecocem are continuously seeking to improve our product offering to customers and our new hybrid bag allows us to offer a user friendly option to storing the bag outside in suitable conditions.” Ecocem’s bagged cement can be stored for up to 6 months, which is twice as long as ordinary bagged cements.

Ecocem is available in builder’s merchants across Ireland and the UK. For more information on Ecocem Next Generation Cement visit us at www.ecocem.ie or call +353 1 678 1800.
