Joint receivers Mark Reynolds and Glenn Cran of Savills have formed an executive development platform to manage the €170 million Boland’s Quay project in Dublin’s Docklands.

The ‘Boland’s Quay Development Group’ (BQDG) is a collaboration of Savills and property development consultancy, Cleary McCabe & Associates.

Michael Cleary of Cleary McCabe & Associates has been appointed Development Director of the Group and will report directly to the NAMA appointed receivers, Mark Reynolds and Glenn Cran.

Commenting on the appointment, he said :

“I’m delighted that Cleary McCabe & Associates has been appointed to work on the iconic Boland’s Quay project. Our extensive experience in the development sector will enable us to direct, support and promote the successful delivery of this major scheme.  We firmly believe that this project will become a landmark development in the resurgent Dublin Docklands area.”

Funded by Nama, Boland’s Quay, designed by Dublin-based BKD Architects, will provide three large buildings, two of offices and one residential, comprising about 36,850sq m of space.

It will also involve the restoration of a number of protected mill buildings, including the landmark Boland’s Mills, and a new civic plaza looking on to the waterfront at Grand Canal Dock.

Demolition work is currently under way at the site with construction work due to begin in September for completion in 2018. A tender process for a contractor, which is expected to take five months, is currently under way.
