Kingspan Insulation launches $25 million XPS line expansion
Kingspan Insulation in North America pulled out all the stops as it marked the commissioning of its new GreenGuard XPS manufacturing line in style with a ribbon cutting ceremony last month. The $25 million expansion at the company’s Winchester plant is part of Kingspan’s growth strategy for the North American market. This facility is in Virginia county and employs many local, skilled residents.
Other plans are emerging too. Kingspan Insulation also announced an investment of $1.1 million into the purchase of an additional 7.3 acres of land adjacent to the current plant’s location. The plant currently produces the GreenGuard XPS insulation panels. The new line will double the plant’s capacity to manufacture this product range.
Speaking at the launch, the newly appointed Managing Director of Kingspan Insulation North America, Ryan Sullivan, stated that due to the support of the state and local governing authorities, this investment creates advancement opportunities for current employees, as well as new jobs within the company. “I would also like to thank our staff for their time, energy and dedication to making the new XPS manufacturing line a reality. You have made a significant contribution to the company and to your community,” Mr Sullivan said.
By installing GreenGuard XPS panels, developers on the project could create an ideal, controlled environment that was free of pollutants.
