KMCS, one of Ireland’s leading Construction Project and Cost Management consultancies, has announced the appointment of three new company directors. Colm Larkin, Andrew Gargan and Eileen Finn join Nigel Spence, who remains as Managing Director of the company. This comes as Barry Keogh, Senior Partner and Co-Founder retires from the business as part of a strategic restructuring and rebranding of the company.

The announcement is part of a long term plan to progress the company through new governance and directorship.

In addition, Gerard Morrissey, has been appointed as Chairman of KMCS. Gerard is a highly respected industry leader having worked in the construction sector for over 30 years, in senior roles which included Finance Director and Company Secretary of Mercury Engineering and is currently a non-Executive Director of Lagan Asphalt and a Trustee of The Construction Executive Retirement Savings.

KMCS was originally founded by Barry Keogh and Walter McConnell in 1954, with current Managing Director, Nigel Spence joining the business in 1978 subsequently co-owner for the past 18 years. Based in Dublin, KMCS works with many public, private and indigenous organisations on high profile projects including Aviva Stadium, Primark, The K Club and Dublin Airport. KMCS also represents top tier international organisations including eBay, Airbnb, Stripe, Dropbox, PayPal, Facebook, and First Data.

Speaking on the restructuring, Managing Director Nigel Spence commented “This is a great new chapter for KMCS and we are really excited about securing the future of the company together with our fantastic team of professionals. We know the heritage that has gone before us has laid a superb foundation and we are perfectly placed to transform and thrive for years to come. “

Nigel added “Over the coming months, at KMCS we will also have exciting expansion announcements confirming new global alliances with international consultants who share the same ethos and successful track record internationally as we do.”
