Uisce Éireann has launched a market engagement to deliver the proposed Water Supply Project.

The national water utility responsible for providing and developing water services throughout Ireland has published a prior information notice (PIN) for the Water Supply Project (Eastern & Midlands Region) which is to provide a sustainable water supply from a new Shannon source and address critical supply issues in the Greater Dublin Area.

The intention of this Request for Information (RFI) and the subsequent meetings (if required) are to create a forum of interaction to assist Uisce Éireann (UÉ) on determining the nature, structure, capacity and capability of the market and specialist competencies available to deliver the proposed Water Supply Project, subject to planning approval and funding availability.

The proposed Water Supply Project (Eastern & Midlands Region) may be delivered in separate individual procurement Contracts or in a combination of procurement Contracts, thus the principal objective of this RFI is to receive feedback from the marketplace and it is expected to bring supplier’s perspective to the fore prior to the commencement of tender competition.

The entire project includes; a Water Treatment Plant, Raw Water Intake and Pumping Station, Raw Water Rising Mains, Treated Water Pipelines (first & second legs), Break Pressure Tank, Pressure Booster Pumping Station, Termination Point Reservoir.

Responses are due by 17th October 2024.
