Murphy Surveys Win at the Irish Construction Industry Awards

Murphy-Surveys-Award-702x336Irish surveying company Murphy Surveys has won the prestigious the award for ‘Innovation in Construction’ at this year’s Irish Construction Industry Awards for their entry on Tank Scanning.

Murphy Surveys based in Kildare, was shortlisted for three projects in two categories of the Irish Construction Industry Awards 2016 on Thursday, 02 June 2016, and won the Innovation in Construction award.

“The awards are a reflection of the hard work and expertise of the fantastic team at Murphy Surveys in Ireland and the UK, their continuous upskilling and the company’s continual investment in the latest surveying equipment and technology”, according to Ray Murphy, MD.

The winning entry looked at the use of 3D Laser Scanning Technology, as well as the expertise of the Geomatics Surveyor, to assess the dimensional tolerances of steel storage tanks, a revolutionary process developed by Murphy Surveys. The team behind the win are from Murphy Surveys’ Cork hub which is based on the Airport East Business Park and was headed up by Kinsale-born Barry O’Keeffe.
