The newly renovated home of Cork GAA, Páirc Uí Chaoimh has been named construction ‘Project of the Year’ at a prestigious awards ceremony after winning the popular vote among the public and industry alike. The state-of-the-art facility, built by leading Irish construction firm John Sisk & Son (Sisk), also picked up one of the Irish Construction Excellence ‘Judges Silver Awards’, presented by well-known architect Angela Brady OBE.

The Irish Construction Excellence Awards (ICE Awards) are the original and premier recognition of performance excellence for the contracting sector in Ireland.

Sisk, which also scooped an award for its work on Páirc Uí Chaoimh at the recent Irish Concrete Society Awards, won a total of four ICE Awards across several distinct categories.

Luas Cross City won the award for Best Project in the Civil Engineering Category, while Sisk also won the BIM Excellence Award for the company’s use of BIM on a recent data centre project for a multinational client.
