“Peter Glynne Assumes Presidency of Project Management Institute’s Ireland Chapter for a Two-Year Term”

The Ireland Chapter of the Project Management Institute (PMI) has revealed that Peter Glynne has taken on the role of President, overseeing a board of 16 directors for a two-year term. In this capacity, Peter will lead initiatives promoting community engagement, innovation in project management through technologies like Artificial Intelligence (AI), and youth involvement in the profession across Ireland.

With over 25 years of experience, including roles as Vice President and Director of Marketing in the Ireland Chapter of PMI over the past eight years, Peter has a strong background in leading volunteer groups in project management professional bodies across Ireland and the UK. His extensive experience includes managing complex change programs at PwC, Deloitte, Microsoft Consulting, and Auxilion. Peter holds a master’s degree in Project Management from the University of Limerick and is a qualified professional from the Chartered Governance Institute of UK and Ireland. As President-Elect, he authored the book “Benefits Led Change: Maximising Value.”

Expressing his enthusiasm for the new role, Peter Glynne stated, “Taking on the role as President of the Ireland Chapter of PMI is particularly exciting at this time. The possibilities for innovation in our profession are boundless due to technological advancements. My goal is to capitalize on this potential, foster a sense of community within our profession in Ireland, and strengthen our representation throughout Europe and beyond. I aim to leave a positive legacy on the Chapter, building on the work of my predecessors.”

Jackie Fagan, outgoing President of the PMI Ireland Chapter, expressed confidence in Peter’s leadership, stating, “I am confident that the Irish PMI Chapter is in good hands with Peter as its new President. His years of experience inside and outside the Institute make him the ideal successor, and I look forward to working with him to help the organization continue to grow and progress in the coming years.”
