Tipperary County Council has given the green light for a significant development at Powerstown Park Ltd, marking a new chapter for the racecourse.

The approved plans include the construction of a new weighroom building, complete with state-of-the-art facilities catering to various stakeholders. These amenities include spaces for jockey changing and welfare, trainers, stewards, media, and first aid, promising an enhanced experience for all involved.

In addition to the modern facilities, the project incorporates sustainability measures with the installation of roof-mounted solar PV panels, aligning with environmental goals. Moreover, the development involves the decommissioning and demolition of existing facilities, making way for upgraded infrastructure.

Furthermore, the plan encompasses the construction of a new wastewater treatment system and soil polishing filter, emphasizing environmental responsibility and compliance with regulatory standards.

The development package extends beyond infrastructure upgrades, encompassing site works such as hard and soft landscaping, access roads, and paths, enhancing the overall aesthetic appeal and functionality of the racecourse.

With planning permission secured, Powerstown Park Ltd is poised to embark on this transformative journey, enriching the racecourse experience and ensuring its continued relevance in the community.

Stay tuned for further updates on this exciting development as it progresses.
