PM Group has announced the acquisition of PROjEN, a 100-person multi-disciplinary engineering firm based in the UK, with offices near Manchester and in Edinburgh. The company has joined PM Group as PM PROjEN. PM PROjEN provides multidisciplinary engineering and project management services in the chemical, petrochemical, advanced manufacturing technology and energy sectors.

“The acquisition of PM PROjEN brings PM Group additional and complementary expertise across a range of additional sectors in the UK market. It provides further opportunities to work with world-leading blue-chip clients such as BP, Total, National Grid, Essar Oil & Gas, Tarmac and Syngenta. PM Group’s strategy is to continue to grow internationally, following a year which saw the opening of an expanded office in Boston and the provision of increased service offerings in Singapore and China,”  said Dave Murphy, CEO of PM Group, commenting on the acquisition.

“There is great synergy between the services offered by PM Group’s and those provided by PM PROjEN. We share a strong track record of designing and delivering complex projects across a wide range of process-related sectors. We also have a similar company culture, which puts health and safety at its core,” said John O’Connell, PM Group’s Director of Operations in the UK.

“This acquisition is part of PM Group’s growth strategy in the UK and diversifies our portfolio of sectors, which now covers Pharma, Food, MedTech, Chemical, Petrochemical, Advanced Manufacturing and Energy. I have no doubt that our combined and complementary expertise will lead to a range of additional opportunities in the UK market,” continued John O’Connell.

“We are very proud to commence working with PM Group as PM PROjEN. Our common commitment to excellence and our aligned company cultures make this a great match. PM Group is a 100% employee-owned company, which is very attractive to all the team at PM PROjEN who have a similar focus on great client relationships and excellent service,” said Martin Seabrook, Managing Director of PM PROjEN.

The acquisition of PM PROjEN brings the total number of PM Group’s personnel to over 2,200 people, with over 300 based in the UK.
