Ebico Ltd is a not-for-profit company in the UK’s gas and electricity market delivering better, fairer, deals in energy to British households. We are an expanding enterprise committed to working both for social justice and the wise use of the earth’s resources.

We are a not-for-profit company, Limited by Guarantee, and with no share capital. This simply means that, unlike most companies, we’re free to pursue our social and environmental goals unfettered by a need to maximise profits, as we do not have shareholders or owners who would expect us to make them a return on their investment.

However, we are not a charity so, as with any other business, we must cover our costs in order to be able to be commercially sustainable. We do try to make operating surpluses and, once we’ve made provisions for the growth of the Company, we donate them to The Ebico Trust for Sustainable Development to help fight fuel poverty in sustainable ways (learn more about The Ebico Trust here). Our work is overseen by our Trustees whose job it is to make sure that the Company stays true to its social and environmental objectives whilst remaining commercially viable.
