Founded in 1982 Tom Walker & Sons Ltd is one of the UK’s leading wholesale cheese distributors and packers. A family business, now run by Tom’s sons and daughter, all with extensive dairy industry backgrounds.

We operate from Thorpe Leazes Farm, on the outskirts of Stockton-on-Tees, hence the ‘Leazes Farm” brand name we use on our own packaging. As a wholesaler and distributor, we import cheeses from all over the world and distribute our products nationally throughout the U.K.

We began our success in 1982 when Tom Walker formed the company. Tom’s long career in cheese, from 1946, provided the basis of the company’s development. His ethical approach to business has informed our culture throughout. From our beginnings as a regional cheese wholesaler we are now one of the UK’s leading distributors, importers and packers of cheese.

The second generation of the Walker family now run the business, supported by a skilled team of experienced managers and staff. Our core activity is the packing and distribution of cheese. We pack and distribute many types of cheese, in various packaging formats, both private-label and branded, for a wide range of customers, but particularly multiple retailers in the UK. In doing this we draw on our many years of honing the necessary skills and expertise. We respond to customers’ needs in a flexible, timely and innovative manner.
