windfarmCoillte and Bord na Mona are in the process of constructing a wind farm with 20 turbines near Strokestown. The farm is expected to generate 64 megawatts, and if everything goes according to plan, the farm should be operational in the next year.

Unfortunately, residential flooding has forced a Roscommon TD to suspend construction while they investigate the issue.

Roscommon deputy, Michael Fitzmaurice stated that the construction will not continue until the investigation is complete.
