Headquartered in Offaly, with offices in Dublin and London, Irish-owned construction company Townmore has opened a new office in Mallow, County Cork. Founded in 2008, Townmore has experienced consistently strong growth over the past decade and is one of Ireland’s largest contractors.

The announcement of this most recent expansion comes as full-time employment at the construction firm exceeds 100. The company provides an extensive range of main contractor and specialist contractor services to the public and private sector, including residential, hospitality, healthcare, industrial and controlled environments.

Regional Director of Townmore, Seamus Quirke said: “We have been successfully delivering projects throughout Munster for the past decade and have a large team from across Cork, Kerry, Limerick and Clare. With new contracts coming on stream, it makes sense to focus our new phase of expansion in this region. Mallow is the ideal southern base for our expanding team, and we have found it to be an accessible and desirable location for professionals looking to further their construction careers. We look forward to continuing our existing relationships with our Munster-based clients and project partners.”

The Townmore model for growth and innovation is supported by early adoption of emerging technologies for the industry and strong strategic partnerships that ensure mutual success.

Amongst the projects currently under construction by the Townmore team are the development of 47 houses in Fermoy for Respond Housing and Cork County Council and a hotel project in the city centre. This team have previously delivered the prestigious Earls Well housing development (pictured) in Waterfall, Buttevant Community College and their repeat clients include Aviva, Dalata and Irish Life. As the company continues to grow, a number of new roles will be created for the Cork office.
