Today, Premier Publishing & Events announced Veolia Ireland as the headline sponsor for the 2024 All-Ireland Water and Wastewater Expo, taking place on November 21st at the Leopardstown Pavilion, Leopardstown Racecourse, Dublin.

Now in its third year, the All-Ireland Water Expo is the largest event of its kind on the island, uniting leaders from industry, academia, and the public sector. The event will feature key players from fields such as construction, stewardship, engineering, sustainability, quality assurance, finance, and many more.

Veolia Ireland, a leader in the water and wastewater industry, brings expertise in water treatment plant operation and management, industrial utilities, total waste management, and wastewater treatment. Globally in 2022, the Veolia Group provided drinking water to 111 million people, wastewater services to 97 million, produced nearly 44 terawatt hours of energy, and treated 61 million metric tons of waste.

Colin Murphy, Managing Director of Premier Publishing & Events, said the conference and exhibition will serve as a critical platform for water organisations to address the key challenges facing the industry.

Quotes: Colin Murphy: “We are delighted to welcome Veolia as the headline sponsor for the All-Ireland Water and Wastewater Expo. Veolia is globally recognised for its innovation, customer focus, and commitment to community and sustainability. Their involvement will undoubtedly elevate the event and contribute significantly to the water sector’s ongoing development.”

Brian Farrell, Commercial Director of Veolia Water Technologies, said, “We are delighted to be a headline sponsor for the 2024 All-Ireland Water and Wastewater Expo. For this event, we will have a presence from all of the Veolia entities in Ireland including Veolia Water Technologies for Industrial applications, Veolia Water Ireland for the Municipal sector and the latest addition to the group, Veolia Water Technologies and Solutions.”

Under the National Development Plan, €6 billion in multi-annual funding will be allocated by 2026 to modernise Ireland’s water infrastructure and treatment facilities, bringing them up to world-class standards. This investment includes projects to build or upgrade water and wastewater treatment plants and enhance national networks, with programmes such as leakage reduction and disinfection being implemented on a large scale.

Industries such as pharmaceuticals, food and beverage, chemicals, electronics, medical devices, textiles, and precision manufacturing are facing increasing demand for high-quality water. They must also comply with stringent EU environmental regulations. Sustainability and ESG concerns are driving significant investments in water efficiency, wastewater treatment, and waste-to-energy initiatives.

Why Attend:
The All-Ireland Water and Wastewater Expo offers a unique opportunity to network and engage with key decision-makers from the municipal, industrial, and domestic water and wastewater sectors. Attendees will have the chance to explore and discuss the most pressing issues affecting the industry.

Registration for the 2024 All-Ireland Water and Wastewater Expo is free and available at https://www.waterengineering.ie/register.
